WebVladimir Tretchikoff was my uncle, whom I had the pleasure of meeting -first in Victoria, British Columbia in 1965 and then in 2000 when my wife and visited him and his family in Cape Town for his 87th birthday. I have this book,compliments of the author, which is an excellent and high quality art book. Therefore it is highly recommended. WebSo, while the movie is apparently set in the early eighties I decided to go down the road of 1970s kitsch, perhaps a style of decor that might have been favoured by motel owners. So I chose to feature some art that reflects that idea - the scantily clad nymph on the left is by a painter usually known as J H Lynch but the actual identity of that painter is a mystery.
